We, the Franciscan Brothers of the Holy Cross, choose to live fraternal life based on Gospel values in the prophetic spirit of St. Francis of Assisi and of our founder, Brother James Wirth. With Jesus Christ as Brother, we live as brother with one another, with the entire human family, and with all creation. Calling ourselves and one another to continuous conversion of heart based on trust, we commit ourselves to a life of brotherhood: simplicity, poverty and humility.
As a Brotherhood of vowed men of the Catholic Church, we respond with our diverse gifts in a spirit of collaboration and of mutual service to the needs of others, especially youth, the sick, and the suffering.
Filled with faith and hope, we seek to participate in the Spirit's action in the world, and aware of a response to human needs of our own time, we trust in the goodness of God to lead us as we embrace the future with hope.
